Twined flower is a traditional Taiwanese handicraft originated from blessings given by family. The exhibited works emphasize the concept of “blessing” and use Taiwanese endemic plants as the materials for creation. The fusion of the entwining art and flora can better showcase the characteristics of Taiwan since both of them are Taiwanese specialties.
By interpreting the imagery in terms of rhetoric and using gold ornaments to create the sophisticated and delicate scenery, the presentation is innovative while retaining the traditional symbolism of twined flower; by dismantling traditional craftsmanship, the conventional twined flower is transformed into a new style, hoping to be worn as a symbol of blessing.
